Laurent Millischer joined the JVI as an Economist in November 2020. He previously worked as a team lead in the European Central Bank’s banking supervision department, where he was in charge of the liquidity risk and internal credit risk models for a globally significant bank. Earlier, he had been in the ECB risk management directorate, contributing to the design and implementation of monetary policy, and at Société Générale in Paris in the credit and market risk modelling department. He wrote his PhD in particle physics at CERN and holds a master’s in mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
