Tibor Hlédik will join the JVI as a Senior Economist in November 2017, after previously being Head of the Macroeconomic Forecasting Division at the Czech National Bank (CNB) since 2004. He joined the CNB in 1994, and in 1996 became an adviser to a CNB board member. Two years later he became a member of the CNB’s Board of Advisers and has been a member of the ECB’s working group on macroeconomic modelling since 2004. Tibor has been involved in providing technical assistance both on behalf of the CNB and IMF. He has cooperated with central banks in Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Russia in the area of macroeconomic modelling and forecasting. Tibor received his Ph.D. in Economics in 2009 from Prague’s University of Economics and holds degrees from the Central European University in Prague and the Masaryk University in Brno.
