Michele Burlington-Green, a British citizen born in Australia, joined the JVI at its inauguration in August 1992 as a Course Administrator. Over the years, she has coordinated a considerable number of courses, workshops, conferences and high-level events. In the fall of 2002 she was appointed Senior Course Administrator, and in 2004 to her current post as Chief of Administration. Her career in seminar management began after graduating from the University of Reading, where she read French and Russian. From 1987 to 1992 she worked for Intourist in London (former USSR State Committee for Foreign Tourism), first as PA to the MD and subsequently as Manager of Conference & Incentive Travel. During this period, she travelled extensively throughout the former Soviet Union. In her current role, Michele’s duties encompass HR Management, overseeing the coordination of the annual program and schedule, and liaising with the JVI’s member organizations. She speaks English, French, German and Russian.
