COVID-19 and the Macroeconomic Outlook for Europe

Laura Papi, Assistant Director in the IMF’s European Department presented the IMF’s Spring 2020 World Economic Outlook-vintage forecasts for Europe. She was joined by Julia Woerz, Head of the Central, Eastern and Southeastern European Analysis Unit, Foreign Research Division, in the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), who presented the OeNB’s Spring forecasts for Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, and by Richard Grieveson, Deputy Director of the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw), who presented the wiiw’s recent projections for Eastern Europe.
