Laurent Millischer joined the JVI in November 2020. He previously worked as a team lead in the European Central Bank’s banking supervision department, where he was in charge of the liquidity risk and internal credit risk models for a globally significant bank. Earlier, he worked in the ECB risk management directorate, contributing to the design and implementation of monetary policy, and at Société Générale in Paris in the credit and market risk modelling department. He wrote his PhD in particle physics at CERN and holds a master’s in mathematics from the University of Cambridge. At the JVI Laurent teaches courses on the financial sector and climate change, which is also the focus of his research.
