Armenian Deputy Finance Minister Visits the JVI

Dr. Eduard Hakobyan, Deputy Minister at Armenia’s Ministry of Finance, visited the JVI on January 15. Armenia has been among the top users of JVI training in the past few years, as the authorities have prioritized capacity building to facilitate the design and implementation of broad-ranging economic reforms. Mr. Hakobyan, himself a JVI alumnus, praised the support received from the JVI by the Ministry of Finance and, as a token of gratitude, provided the JVI with a Certificate of Appreciation. The discussion focused on how to further deepen the collaboration between the JVI and Armenia’s Ministry of Finance, including through tapping the expertise developed by the Ministry in macroeconomic forecasting and fiscal policy analysis.
