New Staff Member: Barbara Dutzler

Barbara Dutzler joined the JVI in February 2019 as Senior Economist. For the last 10 years, she was a Team Leader at GIZ, the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, in the area of Good Financial Governance, working in Montenegro, Malawi, South Africa and Frankfurt. Previously, she worked in the Economic Policy Department of the Austrian Ministry of Finance and as lecturer at the Europe Institute of the Economic University of Vienna. Barbara holds a PhD in Commerce from the Economic University of Vienna and a Master of Public Administration from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard. Her research interests lie in the area of fiscal policy, public financial management, European Economic and Monetary Union, and development economics.
